sadly lame. Bruno's never been a particularly compelling lyricist, but usually makes up for it in production and groove. This album, though, is lyrically lacking and productionally paltry. Been on loop in my brain and my phone since it released. Really good stuff, and that's coming from someone with no particular prior draws to gospel music.

underrated imo. Some real bangers on here (Nightrider, Tidal Wave, I Did It for You).

I've never listened to an album of this genre before, but I really enjoyed it. Really well-produced, and fun sub-bass.

Pretty samey sound between tracks, but that sound is so gorgeous that I mostly don't care. Outstanding album to study to at like 12:30 AM.

I think I prefer the singles on Room for Squares (Neon, No Such Thing) but this album is clearly better overall. Vultures is great.

Edit: Neon is still good, but I've changed my mind. Gravity + Vultures clears. Vultures is easily his best song.

Another fun entry into 8BBB's catalog of video game jazz covers. Loving the references to jazz standards like Lil' Darlin' in the Athletic Theme and Chameleon in Waluigi Pinball. Because they consist exclusively of covers, furnishing these albums with a numerical rating feels weird to me. For that reason, I think it's only really worth comparing them against each other. Wanted to like this album, but mostly didn't. Too gaudy. Angels All Around Me is good though.

An enjoyable listen, though I don't think Adult Contemporary is my kind of genre at the end of the day. Neon, No Such Thing, and St. Patrick's Day stand out.

This should be higher but the rapping is so mid, what is this dude yapping about 😭
