Waves takes the pop punk meets indie noise rock thing to new heights. Almost without asking for permission the band takes a turn into deeper, darker, and more spectral aspects of the genre. A fully formed album with a longer vision and play in mind. The bit of the youthful charm is jaded. An attitude and unique world view emerges. That is reflected in the sound.
