This is amazing, but the only problem I have is , it's just another Virtual Riot EP. Everything sounds like it could have been one big mixtape, atleast for me. But, it's good as singles?


This is by far one of my favorite Virtual Riot EPs. We get some incredible tracks throughout this whole project that will go down as some of his best. We begin with one of the best EP introductions in his discography, Init. It's a very simplistic song that evolves into something much more. He could've made this song very high production and intense, but he chose to make it simple to fit the style of the EP. An awesome track to begin with. For a "throwback" album. It's solid. Virtual Riot brings his old elements and sounds, but.. that's kinda it?
I wish there was more experimentation and blending between his newer style and his old style.
The main highlights are "Init" and "Never Let Me Go" (yes, with that same sample), which completely absorb listener in the open and epic atmosphere right from the beginning. Other tracks have their moments and lows.
