Virtual Riot's "Simulation" is a creative exploration of overarching dubstep sounds that feels ripe for the modern-day. Leaning more heavily into the riddim subgenre, Virtual Riot packs a punch in both the heavy and gritty realm as well as the more garage-inspired section. In the end, even though, riddim isn't my preferred style of listening, I can appreciate the complexity and quality of this record.

Favourite(s): Simulation, Don't Worry, Exile, Neon Angel
Least: Tonhou Riddim
This album has been a colorful sound designed trip for me. There has been some questionable choices made scattered in mostly the middle of the album and touchups that could be made but overall, it has been a fun listen as all the tracks has their unique sound. Some tracks are vibey and irresistible to bop your head to such as "Rewrite", and some tracks would just force me to headbang such as "Touhou Riddim" no matter what.
You know, i wanted to like this album but i haven't listened to anything virtual riot has released past the year 2016 as there aren't many VR songs that i like other than Lunar, You Know Me and specially Disintegrate, but i guess VR just doesn't make that kind of melodic dubstep that was what made me like his music that much.

I guess i just outgrew this kind of music, there is one enjoyable song on this record, the rest was one big skip
Well, now, VR dropped an album this year?

Like the VR releases I've listened to, there are very good songs on this album especially Back In Time, Dreaming, Neon Angel, This Could Be Us to some others such as So Sorry, Fork Funeral and especially, Exile.

Despite that, this album is slightly lopsided. The first half is a pretty decent experience overall but this album shines in the second half.

All in all, this album is better than I thought it would be. Great stuff.
