Christian music is often cited as boring and tedious. Fairly so, but everyone has their theories as to why. As a man of faith I can tell you: it's demoralizing. It's what I would call the "safe space" of music. Everywhere you look, bands are littered with mantras of "He is good" that are over produced to sound clean and poise. Christian black metal sounds like an oxymoron, however I'm pleasantly suprised by this record.

this project does not fear to wear its influences in its sleeves. apparently this was what invented unblack metal back in the 90's. what it sounds like? just imagine an equally fast, dark and raw, but worse darkthrone with (to my taste) goofy christian lyrics. honestly, if you just ignore what is being said it still sounds pretty damn satanic, even some of the song titles sound edgy and evil if taken out of its intended context lmao.
