Splinter is the sophomore album from the criminally under appreciated Sneaker Pimps and it takes a lot darker turn than I expected after their light hearted yet mysterious debut, Becoming X. I love how Sneaker Pimps took a much darker approach as I think this is where the atmospheric elements of Trip Hop really get to shine off in the best ways. Yeah i overrated this album. Low Five is still great but other tracks in the second half just aren't as strong. Still a great album though.

After many relistens, I have decided that this is one of my favourite albums of all time, and here is why. The opening 2 tracks are perfect, blending trip hop, alt rock and even pop elements on Low Five. After that, ballad Empathy is amazing and Ten to Twenty is also perfect. Amazing album with a nice eerie atmosphere. My fav songs were half life, destroying angel, curl, and flowers and silence

Chris Corner is the biggest fucking pretentious tool for getting rid of Kelli because he didn't want SP to be "another female-fronted trip hop group", and that she wouldn't fit on these tracks when 1) she has a farrrrr better voice and 2) I can EASILY hear her on any of these songs
