Khôrada is the brainchild of members of the now-defunct but much-beloved bands Agalloch and Giant Squid. If there were any doubts about whether this album could hold a light to either of those two bands and their prolific catalogue, those are quickly put to rest, as 'Salt' is an experimental affair with just the right amount of traditional progressive metal and doom metal elements to make it work.
