This album really reminded me of Naked Eyes and Foreigner. It makes sense since I got this band recommended to me after just reviewing those artists. This was a pretty good listen overall. The production on this album is very good; it all sounded amazing, especially the guitar, and some of the solos were incredible. Device was a shortlived threepiece in the 80s that had just one hit (Hanging On A Heart Attack), but if you look at the people involved and all they achieved, i'm sure they won't be complaining. Holly Knight on keys and backing vocals for example not only wrote for this band, but also for various big artists, such as Tina Turner. You can hear her skills in songwriting here clearly.

(75 -> 79) After some more listens some songs have grown on me even more, so increasing the overall score and some individual scores to reflect that. The more I enjoy this the more criminally underrated this feels.

This was a really fun 80s synth pop/pop rock album. Surprised they aren't more popular, their sound reminds me a lot of Foreigner and Journey but more pop. Easily enjoyed the whole album, they had a consistent and very 80s sound throughout. I'd definitely recommend it ... read more
