With Vibrations, Ayers reminded us that jazz's loss was certainly soul/funk's gain.
One of those classics that just sounds best on vinyl. The Memory, Searching, Better Days, Baby You Give Me A Feeling are favorites, but the whole set is excellent.
It feels a little less memorable and smooth than Everybody Loves The Sunshine, but it's an interesting evolution of Roy's groove, as the the whole record has even more energy to it than the previous one. I wish the songwriting was more even as some songs don't hit as strong, but the strong parts are very strong
