First listen isn't that high but I went in thinking it was going to be techno and was kinda let down by the slower pace more atmospheric vibe.
I hope to return to this soon and give it a fair shot with more realistic expectations and it might impress me more. As after I started to get over the expectation it was well crafted and I did enjoy the experience.

Dude, fuck yes. Surgeon’s most recent album Shell~Wave is a fantastic Birmingham Sound / Industrial Techno album. With consistently great production and hard hitting Techno beats throughout the majority of this album. I really despise music publications that give albums like this such incredibly high scores. Surgeon's release isn't bad, it's a very very atmospheric industrial techno album. There's a lot of whispy melodies, a lot of repetitive moments, but it typically follows a very similar pattern on each individual track. That's no where near my largest gripe.
