While predominantly a more atmospheric EP, and lacking any really standout tracks. "Protocol" nonetheless sees Current Value doing what he does best: making damn solid neurofunk.
Power Match: 7.6/10 a return to that Deadly Toys era of his sound with more modern synth work. The dissonant refrain does a lot here.
Along the Line: 7.3/10 mix is kind of messy, but with the more VGM-esque, uneasy feel this track has, I honestly don't mind it. Second drop goes off.

[TRACK-BY-TRACK REVIEW]
1. Power Match - Really nice way to introduce a track thanks to its synths, holy shit. Enjoying the crass bass on this too. May not be super aggressive but the atmosphere makes up for it and I like it a lot. 9/10
