Generally not my type of music but surpringly left with a few tracks.
Dance, Sleeping, Strange, Havana and Dress are great.
A masterwork of tight, clean production, 2 is an album of memories cast in porcelain. Andy Shauf’s delicate, deliberate vocals are enchanting, affecting, calm yet unsteady at the same time, the way a robot might sing a nursery rhyme to an unfamiliar child.
The record is flooded in vintage technicolor by samples from various Golden Age films: Streetwise Mid-Atlantic film noir banter, restrained Hays Code romance, all accompanied by grainy string-orchestral chinoiserie and occasional ... read more
무난한 인디 앨범이에요. 따뜻한 포크 음악에 재즈의 변칙성을 첨가한 Chamber Pop이었어요. 개인적으로 Listen2Me라는 트랙이 꽤 괜찮았어요. 제가 카페를 차린다면 이런 느낌의 노래들을 여럿 틀고 싶을 것 같아요. 저를 별로 쪼이지 않는 노동요 재질의 노래들이 많았어요.
