There are some nice tunes here, but do you ever get the feeling you're listening to a band you know you shouldn't really like, and that bias informs your decision? I think that happened a little here.

I am 100% a By and By truther, so when I saw that they were releasing a new track I was so excited. And I wasn't disappointed, but I just don't think comparatively it's their best work. This came out before Taylor, Sabrina, Laufey, and Conan's albums were, so it was a good summer jam. I listened to it a couple times and didn't really like it much so I dropped it for a while. Caamps’ newest record is more of their heartwarming, easygoing folk rock sound with a bit of indie inspiration this time around. “Waiting up” is very cage the elephant inspired. Enjoyable for sure
