While only being their first single, this is probably one of Garbage's most daring tracks. The Joan of Arc and Jesus lines are absolutely savage, and the production is as trashy as possible for a dance-rock track. The sudden guitars and that wall of distortion during the choruses make this the band's closest approach to noise rock. It's disorienting, fearless, and an immaculate way of starting their career.
