it's safe to say that kard has been one of my least favorite kpop groups in terms of their music. while some of the members are talented individually, it just never seemed to come together in their EPs. their 2024 EP 'where to now?' was probably the worst i've heard from them, and so my expectations were extremely low going into 'drift', however the album ended up being a really good surprise!

KARD demonstrates undeniable talent and genuine enthusiasm in their music, yet frustratingly, their potential often gets undermined by inconsistent production choices and missed opportunities. When they shine, they're brilliant, but these moments remain frustratingly sporadic.
Honestly I'm pleasantly surprised by the entirety of this EP. There were no songs I disliked and I think this was a strong start for July.
