I know something is up when I finish a song and I can't say anything about it. I felt this during the whole album and that speaks worlds to me. Generally, the band sounds nice and the vocalist is good but if I listen to a whole album and I can't remember a single chorus, all I'll remember is how forgettable everything was.
Laura Donnelly could sing me her shopping list and I would hang on every word.
It's sort of like older Avatarium, but Laura can absolutely holler like no-one's business. There's grit, power, but also a surprising amount of technique and control over her vocals that sells everything this album does.

The vocalist brings a lot of commanding energy to the music, and the band in general showcases a lot of talent, but the lack of good hooks or anything generally memorable makes it difficult to stay engaged; in the end it just feels very flat.
