Barren Path’s violent attack, colorful chemistry, and precision, technical musicianship leave displaced jaws on the floor with the sheer intensity and locked-in tightness. Grieving is top-tier grind to batter the senses and soothe the mind.

A short but INSANELY sweet album of punishing deathgrind. The riffs on this thing are insanely infectious and make you want to absolutely destroy your neck. The vocals are amazing as well, having a nice variation between low gutturals and typical high pitched grindcore vocals. Overall this 13 minute album is very much worth listening to and will be very high on my end of year list.

from the ashes of Gridlink, or in other words, from the ashes of the ashes of Discordance Axis comes Barren Path. this band is comprised of every member that performed on the former's last album, minus vocalist Jon Chang. while he was the band's sole tie to DA, clearly Barren Path can make do without him because... god fucking damn, out of all three of these bands this one takes the cake as my favorite.
