Clearly the music plays a big part in WALLΒ·E, and Newman has done his part to make it another hit from the already wildly successful PIXAR animation studio.

An incredible showcase of the power of instrumentals.

Rewatching WALL-E was honestly life changing, I cannot believe how prominent all of its core themes and messages are now… but one thing that sprung out to me was the lack of dialogue in a lot of moments.

It’s almost uncomfortable how little is actually said throughout this film, which makes those moments of dialogue all the more prominent, but also within those non verbal moments, the music takes so much precedence.

The way Thomas Newman blends natural and electronic sounds to simulate the human-robot relationship is genius and beautiful, as usual for one of the greatest film score composers of all time. He captured the sound of water in Finding Nemo, the sound of space in WALL-E...is there anything he can't do?
