There's something about Patio's minimal post-punk sound that just WORKS. And while the matter-of-fact vocal style might not be for everyone, it's certainly for me. Not that keen on 'No Time', but other than that, this concise album doesn't have any misses for me (and I wouldn't even describe 'No Time' as a miss, really, it's just not as great as the other tracks in my opinion). My personal favourites are 'Split', 'Scum', 'Open' and 'Legacy Continued'.

There are some really solid post punk ideas on Patio's first full length release. Jangling guitars not too dissimilar from what one might hear from Johnny Marr. The rhythm section keeps a nice drive to the tunes. However, the achilles heel of the album is the apathetic and poorly delivered vocals. It's all very Kim Deal, just lacking the talent for deliver.
