Backtrack's Darker Half is a hardcore powerhouse. 12 years later, and this album still goes so hard. It's got the riffs, the breakdowns, and the hardcore vibes to make you know instantly that this is a classic.

The first two tracks are just a perfect one-two punch. They display Backtrack's ethos clear as day. That shout of "Trapped in this life without a plan!" followed by that breakdown... you KNOW what time it is! It's so clean, and then it becomes a two-step part without changing ... read more

A little bit generic at times but overall a great and hard ass time. The title track is especially amazing

Foundational for so many modern bands. Kids enjoy what you have while it’s around. This was my high school era, and as much as I loved seeing them with Expire, Harms Way, Freedom and Suburban Scum (holy 2014), I didn’t realize how special it truly was. Great album, better impact.
