It's a burden to have to speak but I would never let them tell it,
I use the term faux-conscientious often, to describe a vein — an artery, really — of conscious rap that is politically toothless and impotent. Rappers who attack the many faces of the leviathan, but never see the full beast; as such, they can only ever be progressive for their time.
