Help, I'm floating and can't get back down.
Pneuma is a live album by the famous progressive folk singer and guitarist/pianist Ichiko Aoba. Released in 2017 alongside three famous Japanese jazz musicians, this went under the radar of many fans of her music. ichiko aoba can't miss. every single performance she appears on she fucking kills it oh my god. She obviously sounds incredible, the audio is recorded so well too and the whole instrumentation just adds a level of complexity to already unbelievably gorgeous songs. Also this album features a live performance of one of my favorite songs by her, the 7th!
It's jazz, it's Ichiko Aoba, and it is surely bound to be perfect.
A bit unfortunate that it's not on Spotify as I consider every live rendition of the songs on this album to be better than the originals, but hopefully I can find a workaround 😂
