Phendrana's debut was my favorite Metal album of 2018 (coming in at #2 overall just behind Emma Ruth Rundle's "On Dark Horses"). The combination of Post-Black Metal and extended, proggy sections was mystifying. I need to check out the debut LP, but this one is quite good. Anuar Salum composes all the music and lyrics on this, but does get some help, specifically from Ana Bitran on vocals. This is a fantastic mixture of black metal, classical and prog that speeds by with only 4 tracks. There are some ambient sections that dampen the momentum a bit, but I enjoyed this.
