tobi's new projects are nice enough but i feel like they're coming out too fast and lack the depth of some his best projects from previous years.
At this point in his career, tobi lou has a great grasp on how to balance his soft singing voice with bouncy rap verses, both of which fit snugly within the gentle, lighthearted fun of his production aesthetics. Even when heavier bass is injected into certain beats, these summery jams emanate an inviting happiness that keeps me coming back, even when leaning into his sad-boy indie vibes.
