Perhaps I spoke too soon on the last LP I reviewed of Buerak.
I said they seemed to stagnate, evolving very little if any over this and the last 2 albums. On closer inspection, there are some differences to be found on 'Шоу-бизнес', particularly the title track "Шоу-бизнес" being the most electronic sounding track I've ever heard from them. On "Убежать от солнца" we get these groovy Afrobeat-esque drums mixed with their signature guitar ... read more
the bouncy post-punk riffs on Шоу-бизнес make for a pretty high-energy record, perfectly offset by artyom's deadpan vocals. i didn't love it quite as much as their previous work, but this album is still an excellent release ♡
