What a cool album artwork for such a cool album.
When I was doing my Devo discography dive I stumbled across Pylon and their album Chomp and I knew based on the one song I heard and the cool artwork that I needed to give this a shot, boy am I glad I did. Who knew that punk could be a pleasant listen, it like goes against the entire identity of the genre but it fucking works???? It took a while for me to warm up to this album but as it went along I started enjoying myself more. Plus the female voice is very nice and fits the grooves of the album well. It's a well produced album and the forty two minutes go by pretty quickly and it's over before you know it. DINO ALBUM!
I found this album in the new wave rym chart so I said why not give it a try? It has a dino as a cover.
It starts pretty strong, the first couple of songs are very good new wave tracks, and I have to say very Talking Heads inspired tracks. After "Crazy" the album kinda falls off, with all the other tracks being just decent, only the last two tracks are a little bit better.

It's a cool mashup of 80's genres with a pretty unique sound. It's good for the most part but does feel a bit repetitive at times.
