Love how there's actually a build up of the tension in this song, a concept which seems to have been basically unheard of for the #1 hits of this era.

I am a bit conflicted on how to feel about this one. Obviously the singing from Roy is superb, and the instrumental is really good, but the song kind of feels like it lacks a proper ending. The song builds and builds, and then... just ends abruptly? It's still a good song, but I'd probably like it more if the ending wasn't so abrupt.

All Hot 100 Number 1 Hits Review #52
Well at least this song has some personality to it. I love the drum progression and vocals as well. But it is kinda dull and anticlimactic at the end and I don't know if it's a song I'll remember a week from now. It is an enjoyable song though no doubt.
