Clock Opera return with their 3rd LP, and what a treat it is. Maintaining their signature sound despite the departure of guitarist Andrew West, the album returns to that upbeat, pop energy of 2012 debut ‘Ways To Forget’ but grounded in the new brooding, atmospheric synths brought forth on their 2017 sophomore LP ‘Venn’.

This album does have it moments where i am actually impressed, but this moments are few and far between and it makes Carousel feel like an album with no clear direction and just messy overall. This in my opinion could of been a very good art pop record but it is ultimately fades away into the background.
