probably in my top 5 jazz albums. mccoy tyner's harmonic instincts are fucking insane and the lineup on this album is especially insane

Recorded in 1970 but shelved; fortunately released early 1973.

McCoy Tyner's final session for Blue Note.

I love the album cover design, a riff on National Geographic.

Wonderful essay on the back from André Perry,

Check the all-star line up, pretty much a Coltrane-Davis supergroup... and they're playing straight ahead spiritual modal jazz!

the first half was great but i found the second half less interesting. still a cool listen, McCoy is my favourite pianist ever.
