15 years after his debut album, Kurious drops a IInd album! I appreciate the diversity of beats on here, and also the cover of one of the best Slick Rick tracks. Also stacked with some amazing features (That MF Doom one is what i'm talking about) It's easy to forget that this came out in 2009! Same year as Born Like This for comparison. You can definitely feel Kurious come into his own, it's good track after good track here with unique concepts and good beats.
What an amazing album. Production is amazing, with heavenly beats on songs like Drinks in the Air and Brand New Day.
and amazing sample usage on Take What Is Given, Back with Vic and Benetton, he produces most of the songs himself, but for some songs he gets a guest producer on the album, and with this being a second solo album I am kind of shocked how good the production is. I don't know if I just overhyped this in my head but I was the tiniest bit disappointed by this on relisten, and I lowkey think Majician is better. It's still very good, but my first listen there wasn't one song I would've given lower than an 8/10, and now on relisten the bottom five songs on my ranking are all in the 7/10 range.
