I’m starting to think “technical thrash” might just be slang for “we have insanely talented musicians but the most boring/generic/incompetent vocalist in the world and we have to make up for them”. Steev Esquivel might be the equivalent of “every popular vocalist of the 90s mixed together into one man” because of how generic he sounds. It’s not like a standout thrash album and it kinda feels a bit longer than it is. But every song is at the very least solid and there’s a lot of Testament inspired riffs on here that are very technical and tasty.
