Average dark slightly abrasive techno with some nice ambient qualities. There’s not much to this release, but it’s not bad. The tracks create a spacious cold metallic dystopian atmosphere through it’s harsh tones and eerie walls of airy sound. Some of the beats reminded me of a really watered down version of ‘The Future Sound Of London’ put through a lot of compression. I enjoyed this.
idk bro. I find this Scottish duo stronger when they produce techno. sure, it's great that they try different genres, but this breakbeat and ambient stuff doesn't hit that hard. overall, the dark ambient and drone compositions seems to be only intermezzos, they play a secondary role imho. at the same time, even in those dominating breakbeat songs not much happens. gonna listen to some techno
