Just okay really. It’s one of those albums where I listened to the first track ‘Hardline’ and thought ‘okay, this might be brilliant’ but then spent the whole runtime after that craving for something nearly as good. My god. What a heartbreaking album. Julien’s situation is absolutely exposed and she goes all-in on how her addiction has affected her life. From suicidal thoughts, the hurt she brought on other people, to her insufficiency to forgive herself, this is such a real and raw lyrical undertaking. Julien doesn’t sugarcoat her situation at all and drops line after line of how dire her mental state really is.
