I recently watched Grease and, while I hated every single scene and performance in it due to how utterly exaggerated and slapstick they were based on today’s standards, I at least appreciated that every actor felt completely engaged in the character they were playing and sold it off perfectly - even if it was just filled with stereotypes on top of accidental social commentary. I'm having a hard time being totally satisfied with this one, knowing it's a cover album, but I won't pretend that it really negatively affected my listening experience since I had never heard any of these songs before. And these songs are actually all pretty good! The members of Red Velvet continuously prove that they are on top - whether it be in or out of the group, each release has been stellar - especially when compared to other projects within the genre.
