Post-grunge really seems to be an underrated sub-genre of rock music. While it was really popular in the 90s and 2000s, it was vainly popular to the point where if you weren't listening to Creed, Linkin Park, Metallica, Nickelback, or Weezer, this was the stuff you were left with in terms of popular rock music.

This record compared to Fuel's 1998 record Sunburn does seem to filter the heaviness that included alternative metal influences and it just claims a milder mid-tempo pace. The ... read more

Something Like Human was a unique Alt-Rock album. Besides the shining baby with an eyebrow piercing... The band had all the looks for MTV and VH1 but never graced the levels of success between Pearl Jam and Creed. Through heavy radio play FUEL used this album to become an absolute pillar of airwave dedication across rock song stations everywhere.

This started playing on Spotify and I just let it keep going for some reason. It was as about as generic and forgettable as I was expecting given Top 40 rock from this period of time (Nickelback, Creed, Hinder, Staind, Theory of a Deadman, etc. etc.) was mostly dreadful. "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)," the big hit song from the album, is miles above everything else on here but back then all you needed was the one song to carry and this ended up selling 2 million copies in the U.S. ... read more
