I don't always dig instrumental albums, but sometimes I'm in the middle when it comes to them too. This has some okay ideas and really doubles down on the jazz. I just find it to be lacking engagement and really any sense of melody. It's cool when musicians can just flex on their knowledge, but without a hook, it doesn't grip me personally and that's what this album was lacking.
