I used to hate this one for some reason, probably due to the subtle but still noticeable pitch correction on the vocals, but I've since grown out of by "autotune bad" phase. This is their most "rock" album outside of the recent Butcher's Bill EP. I've seen Halou mistakenly labeled as Shoegaze, but on this album that's pretty accurate! Partially due to Robin Guthrie's textural contributions.

Powerful and intuitive album, albeit confusing if you dare look for direct meaning. it's more about the haze itself through the feedback and atmosphere than any one singular thing it appears... <3 i still love wholeness and separation a good portion more but Company and We Wear Strings and Sneaky Creatures were some of my favorites. :>
