For her debut album ... Abra draws on the cynicism of darkwave and its brooding hues, while making room for brighter beats, quicker tempos, and lyrical vulnerability.
a close friend of mine recommended me to listen to this album and this really really was a treat. It feels so groovy yet kind of electronic and how melodic and sweet ABRA's voice sounds throughout this project, honestly incredible. <3
stumbled across this album after Fruit and Roses kept appearing on my YouTube feed - my god i adore how nostalgic her sound is. timeless beats and choruses, and her voice is just gorgeous.
Roses might be one of my favourite songs at this point in the year the production is so infectious and well executed. the whole album has plenty of highlights that i keep returning to and is a record you can easily put on and leave running just purely and simply to vibe.

A drowsy and droning offering that is way too sedated to ever really be truly enjoyable. It starts off promising with genuine moments of electronic R&B brilliance but then it very quickly tapers off and gets lost in the brawn of its outsized bass drums and gargantuan synths. Yes the vibe is still cool but the overall product feels a bit stale and …. Sleepy zzz.
