this is going to be the most challenging review i’ve ever written, and i do it with full knowledge that this album was so close to completion, the track-list was already finished and sequenced - so any gripes are on SOPHIE, not her brother.
this album is flawed, i’ll start by saying. you really feel the runtime of this project, it is dragged down by lengthy tracks that feel half baked even with that SOPHIE flare.

2nd career-best drop of the week! i love this track; Lola is at her most mature and introspective here and it serves as the perfect return to music after her time away last year. James Blake’s production only makes Lola’s fantastic songwriting and delivery soar even higher and i hope the pair have some more in store, as the musical chemistry is on fire with this track.
career-best track with a great melody, catchy hook, almost classic Foo Fighters sounding chords and a fantastic, rewarding climax to close out. this is how you do it. loving how mature Olivia’s songwriting has been with these singles, it’s worlds apart from her first 2 records. keen for the rest!
