Smoothie

This album is great. Do I miss the old Hip-Hop leaning Sitcom? Oh yeah of course, but that doesn't mean that these tracks aren't almost entirely great. I do love the creative direction he's taken on Smoothie, it's innovative and niche similar to his previous works. I still like his previous works better, because it's more consistent. The songs are great, for the most part. The main problem, I feel, is that sitcom is almost pitching this to the wrong genre. The indie-rock songs don't feel nearly as comforting as the alternative hip-hop in his previous work. It feels a bit less personal. The vocal effects and guitar don't feel as dreamy, and overall it completely drops whatever made the song Still Life popular.
