I will always have a special place in my heart for this artist. It's sappy, it's cringe, it's by no means musically complex or innovative, but goddamnit, my 14 year old emo self teaching myself guitar ate this shit up and occasionally i still hide away and enjoy these simple songs composed of pure genuine emotion.

It influenced me to pick up guitar and want to make and play music just like it. Today, way older, I find this album still beautifully resonating with me. Overall, Awake is such a amazing acoustic album that will forever resonate with my heart and soul.
