This is what i imagine the 'Self-Transforming Elf Machines' were playing when Terence McKenna encountered them.
This would be amazing live. It's the type of music that really immerses you, though the album isn't really that memorable when the last song ends.
I've been putting off this release for a while, as new age/ambient music has never been my thing. However, as always, this band has defied my expectations. With slow guitar riffs and chanting vocals over dominating percussion, DCD lures you into a world far away from civilization. It is the attractiveness of nature, clearing your heads pace and helping you picture a perfect society. It's far from their best project, but it was something I shouldn't have put off.
