Superb album with an absolutely phenomenal banger to start it off. Not much to say except that this is absolutely a gem.
The lyricism has that sort of vague, daedalian tone and vocabulary that crossword clues have. Makes it really interesting to listen to, and the guitar is refreshing but all sort of blends together. My Music At Work is great, The Bastard and Toronto #4 are good too, but apart from that there aren't really any very remarkable tracks.
Great album with some of their best songs, including the iconic "Losing my Religion". God I wish I was alive during the time that was played in clubs. Anyways, the album feels kind of awkward in its progression, and it's a bit jarring to go from very lively, cheery songs, to slow introspective ones and back again.
This would be amazing live. It's the type of music that really immerses you, though the album isn't really that memorable when the last song ends.
