This album was a sort of rough start honestly. I love it and I still listen to it but Christian needed a lot of work on those vocals. He did say that he never even thought about singing before starting the band with Simon, and it shows lol. The bass situation was that Tomas either forgot or something happened to his bass, so he used some crappy bass they had in the studio.
