An album that disappointed me when it first came out, Deceivers is the 11th album by melodic death metal band Arch Enemy and the third album with their latest vocalist, Alissa White-Gluz. This is an album that I was very excited for when the singles were being released and when the album dropped, I was disappointed by it, probably because I expected too much from it, especially because the last two albums by the band were very good.

Everything you would expect from Arch Enemy these days, they are just fine-tuning their sound. If you like the current sound and style they are playing you are going to be satisfied, if not.. if you want to hear something else and unique you are not going to find it on this album.

Intro
E finalmente usciamo dal periodo piu buio della band con questo loro nuovo capitolo. Deceivers e l'album piu bello fatto con Alissa alla voce, prendendo quelle poche cose che funzionavano dei precedenti due e facendole risaltare.

Ottima Varieta
Finalmente la band e riuscita a trovare quella varieta che mancava un po da tempo, riuscendo ad alternare molto bene momenti piu anthemici come The Watcher e House of Mirrors, a momenti piu old school come la title ... read more

Alissa's clean vocals in Handshake with Hell brought much needed variations to an old recipe. Sadly the rest of the album goes easy mode in my opinion. They had a Jeff Loomis, why not use him?!
