‘Aura’ is one of the most singular albums I’ve heard for a long time. It is composed, entirely, of layered vocals. I don’t really know what they are saying, if anything at all, but the emotional resonance is incredible.

Aura is truly global in spirit ... The noises Noit makes aren’t quite words, but something more primal and instinctive – an incredible reminder of how much we can communicate with sheer, human, universal sound.

Aura pronounces the spirit of each piece very clearly, which is cause for gratitude; there’s enough weight to these eight intricate articulations of the ineffable that each offers a distinct glimpse at something ordinarily invisible and ultimately quite precious.

Really interesting human ambience with a folky twist. Extremely unlike any other kind of music I have listened to before.

Human birdsong. Folky choral harmonies that sadly often fall into repetition.
The first track, Aura, is worth listening to to get a taste of the unique vocal delivery. It works very well and inspires very strong and beautiful abstract visuals.
Tracks 2-5 are sparse, follow simple structures and fall into repetition that grows grating by the end of their runtimes. Barely any new ideas, basically filler.
The last three tracks, however, turn to a more ambient approach, with beautiful backdrops ... read more
