Mare

One of the best one-and-done projects in underground music. Mare weave together the best parts of atmospheric sludge metal with jazzy chords/textures and vocal harmonies that sound like alternate universe Beach Boys. Tyler Semrick-Palmateer (ex-The End vocalist) performance here is particularly impressive and downright possessed at times. The riffs and overall sound here are dark, angular, melancholic; it's a sound that I have not heard yet since. Remarkable album.
