I don't think I've ever heard such a clean combination of alternative rock, R&B, and emo. While the self-proclaimed "soul punk" band's sound is more akin to an alternative rock - R&B fusion, nightlife is able to pull off the fusion pretty well. Everything here is enjoyable and makes for a solid EP, but even the best material here ("fallback" and "no pleasure" imo) is more along the lines of "pretty good" than "great".
