Eulogy for Evolution

Olafur Arnalds composes a pleasing harmonic relationship between the piano and strings on this album, but in the end these songs lack the complexity or grandness to be anything but background music for a soundtrack. Music that accompanies a visual art isn't supposed to be overly complex. Otherwise it takes the viewer out of the visual, the sound is supposed to deepen your connection to the visual.
