I love AVOID, but this was a tough one. Some solid riffs but don't like the vocals here. They also don't match the instrumental.

The imperfect first steps of a quite good band. I'm usually respectful of the first album, because it tends to be a stepping off point for later improvements to a band's sound and acquisition of a band's indentity; this album is no exception. There are fragments of where their sound would go, and the instrumentals on this album start off being the erratic stuff I'm used to from them, albiet less extreme.
